Improving the health and wealth of your land

Scout Seed Co. is run by real farmers who care about the community, the environment, and most importantly our fellow farmers.

With decades of experience working the land here in the Carolinas, we have found techniques and approaches for getting more out of what we’ve all been given. Season after season we’ve seen how our services improve yields, profits, and the overall health of the soil.

You can see the results yourself by visiting our research farm, or setting up a consultation.

Every region has unique elements that impact its farms. That’s why Scout Seeds are tested in the ground, by hands familiar with soil of the Carolinas and virginia.

Cover Crops

Our goal is to make farmers as efficient as possible. With cover crops, you can increase topline revenue, while also ensuring that your fertilizer, soil nutrients, and water don’t go to waste. Earn more money and save time by letting our cover crop experts advise not only on what to plant, but when and how.

Row Crops

Seed selection starts with understanding the modern farming operation. At Scout Seed we don’t just make recommendations on what tops the plot. We look for consistency, agronomics, and product performance that keeps growers in the black year after year.

Agronomy

At Scout Seed we’re more than just seeds. Our sister company Carolina Agronomy works with growers to do precision soil testing, seeding prescriptions, drone surveys and more. We have some of the most sophisticated tools on the market to make the most of your inputs. A great crop starts with healthy soil.

Who we are

Managing risks and maximizing benefits is what separates us from the competition. Scout Seed was founded by farmers with decades of combined experience cultivating in the Southeast, which means we know what framers need to grow the best crop possible in their land.

We’re passionate about sharing what we’ve learned in order to make your farm more efficient and productive. You can trust that if we’re recommending a seed or planting technique, that’s because we’ve tried it ourselves and watched it increase yields on a farm you’ve probably driven by a dozen times.

You cannot save your way to prosperity. That’s why we love full bins and bountiful harvests.
